Muslim Day of Celebration

Despite rainy weather, leaders of the 24th Annual Muslim Day Parade confronted the grey skies with a sunny message about unifying the vast religious community. Participants came from across the five boroughs and Long Island to march down Madison Avenue between 41st and 23rd streets. The event included a mass prayer on Madison Avenue, readings from the Koran and the New York Police Department marching band.
